Patrick Eades is a writer who likes to make people laugh and think, but not necessarily in that order.
He was the runner up in the 2025 Peter Carey Short Story Award, and his writing has been short-listed for the Fish Short Story Prize, the Ernestine Hill Memorial Award, and has appeared in ACE III: Arresting Contemporary stories by Emerging Writers, X-R-A-Y, Allegory, The Westchester Review, and other journals.
He lives in Sydney with his wife, children and a dog that flies daily over the cuckoo’s nest.
